Graffiti + HDR = Holy shit nuggets awesome

The awesome people over at Abduzeedo have some extremely beautiful HDR photos of various subjects, but my favorite of em all is the HDR graffiti photos like the one above. Graffiti is right up there with McDonald's french fries for things I love most in this world, and these photos definitely do the colors some well-deserved justice. Which is ironic since graffiti is illegal. Much like the two 30" cannons i walk around with attached to my shoulders.

This photo comes courtesy of Markus Hatel over at the Urban Views website. I've been wanting to post about this guy for a while giving that one of my most favorite forms of photography is street photography. His ability to take candid shots without anyone looking at the damn camera ruining the moment is only enhanced by the powerful contrast of black & white.

Take a moment to view some of his work. I'm going to go out on the street and take photos too, but it's probably just going to end up like last time with me getting punched in the face after taking picture of this one guy and pointing and laughing....

As I was sitting in ofront of my computer being the awesome bblogger that i I am, I came across this great concept on . It's simplicity is what makes the idea of this site so great. The main goal is a collaborative effort to help people of all levels improve, practice, learn, or have fun with photography by gathering together to take pictures of amodels, nature, life, etc. It's great for those who are looking to learn and expand their photography skills (me!) so the netxt time you see someone walking with the camera, don't just point and laugh and call them a stupid foreigner...... get a camera and start walking with them!

Words really can't describe my feelings about this photo. Asians are some of the smartest people I know, but god damn if they don't do the weirdest shit I've ever seen. In commemoration of weird asians, I've written a haiku and it goes a little something like this:

Silly Asian Man,
Posing with some Manga Girl,
He looks like a douche

Photo Blogs o' Plenty!

Cameraporn.com (don't be fooled by the name) has compiled one of the most extensive lists of relevant and hip photography blogs I've come across. On top of that, they have also done previous lists of photography blogs and I for one will be digging through these like the FBI do my trash cans after that whole "tax-fraud/evasion" thing. I swear i thought taxes were OPTIONAL....

Photo of the Day!

If you've followed the news lately, which i sure haven't thanks for asking, you probably maybe sort of heard of the volcano erupting in Chile recently that had been lying dormant for quite sometime.

Well, as if the people of Chile weren't having a hard enough time running for their lives from hot, molten magma they also had to deal with a storm that had been a brewing.

The above photo is the result of the storm and volcano converging. This kind of reminds me of the time when i first swore at my mom: a catastrophic disaster that resulted in massive (emotional) trauma.
